SGH170 Festival to celebrate the old and the new

St George’s Hall is set to mark its 170th anniversary by inviting a host of Liverpool’s most talented performers into its iconic spaces. St George’s Hall Charitable Trust and The Salvation Army’s Strawberry Field to celebrate Christmas with a festive concert at St George’s Hall 

The Salvation Army’s Strawberry Field will bring its annual Christmas carol concert to St George’s Hall this November in partnership with one of Liverpool’s most esteemed heritage trusts, St George’s Hall Charitable Trust. ‘Celebrating Christmas’ will take place on November 26 at 4pm, and will feature music from the Liverpool Walton Salvation Army Band. St George’s Hall gets Royal seal of approval

St George’s Hall has placed the Royal Cypher of King Charles III on the famous Willis Organ in the Great Hall. The cypher is the Sovereign’s official monogram, consisting of the initials of the monarch’s name, Charles, and title, Rex – Latin for King, alongside a representation of the crown.
