English Tourism Week 2021 will take place between Saturday 22 - Monday 31 May.

The Marketing Liverpool team is made up of a diverse range of people who work tirelessly everyday for the tourism industry here in Liverpool City Region.

Tourism means a lot in numbers to Liverpool City Region, but it also means a lot to our team. “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life,” Confucius once said. This year's English Tourism Week theme is 'Here for Tourism', so we thought we'd celebrate by asking our team exactly why they do what they do.

I am here for tourism because I think it's one of the most diverse and exciting industries to work in!

I am here for tourism as it means so much to so many.

I am here for tourism because I love this industry and all the things it does to make people happy.

I am here for tourism because I’m so proud of this place and want people to see it for themselves.

I am here for tourism to showcase our amazing city region to the world.

I am here for tourism because I love this city and I want everyone to experience it too!

I am here for tourism because I want to fight against the stereotypes of the North that still exist in 2021. I want Liverpool to gain the exposure and credit it deserves as a place to visit, invest, meet, study and live.

I am here for tourism because I am so proud of our city region and love shouting about it to the rest of the world.

I am here for tourism because we can support the tourism industry on our doorstop and it even feels like we are on holiday.

I am here for tourism because Liverpool is a city where magical memories are made.

I am here for tourism because travel and tourism is my passion! I have spent my career promoting Liverpool and when I am not doing that I travel to see as much of the world as I can. I love this industry!

I am here for tourism because of the opportunities it creates for local businesses in the Liverpool City Region.
