Liverpool City Council is on the lookout for a Major Sports Events Project Officer to help deliver the city’s exciting portfolio of world-class sporting events.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring Liverpool continues to attract and host major sporting spectacles that boost the local economy, enhance the city’s global reputation, and inspire communities through sport.
Working within the Culture Liverpool team involves collaborating with national governing bodies, event organisers, and key stakeholders to secure and successfully deliver high-profile events. The council is seeking a dynamic individual with experience in event planning and project management, as well as a passion for sport and its power to bring people together.
Liverpool has a rich history of hosting major sporting events, from the World Gymnastics Championships to the British Open Golf and the Netball World Cup. This role presents an opportunity to help shape the city’s future in international sports.
The position offers a salary of £26,409 – £30,060 per year and is open for applications until Midnight Thursday 27th February 2025.
