Club Liverpool’s Annual Recognition Event recently took place at Knowsley Hall on 12 March. The event brought together Club Liverpool Ambassadors who have helped to bring international conferences and events to the city region in the previous year.

Guests enjoyed a reception before being presented certificates of recognition by the Lord Mayor of Liverpool, Councillor Mary Rasmussen in the grand Stucco Ballroom. Lord Derby was also in attendance to welcome guests and highlight the importance of business events and conferences for Liverpool City Region.

2023 was the biggest year yet for Club Liverpool Ambassador-led conferences, with 24 events taking place in Liverpool due to the hard work of the dedicated individuals. The conferences brought to the city through this program contributed £10 million of economic impact in 2023, benefiting hotels, restaurants, event spaces, and tourist attractions.

Ambassadors were instrumental in these high-profile events which included The Association for Dental Education in Europe Annual Meeting, The Nutrition Society Annual Summer Conference, The International Conference of European Society of Paediatric Otorhinolaryngology, and the British-American Project Conference, to name a few.

These events further added to Club Liverpool’s success story with over £95 million of economic impact generated since its inception in 2015 and thousands of delegates from around the globe visiting Liverpool.

Club Liverpool Chair, Howard Lewis, said:
