Dear friends and colleagues,
It has been a privilege and pleasure to direct Marketing Liverpool for the last 10 years and to showcase and celebrate the assets of this great city and city region, delivering campaigns and partnerships nationally and internationally that have contributed to its growth.
As we head towards Eurovision 2023, this is the perfect opportunity to complete my work, by delivering the biggest international marketing showcase the city region has ever seen. Therefore, at the end of May, I will be handing over the reins of Marketing Liverpool’s leadership, once our Eurovision celebrations are complete.
I will not be retiring but I am looking forward to a change of pace and the opportunity to work on exciting new challenges and projects.
Without our partners, Marketing Liverpool could not deliver its important work, so I would like to personally thank you all for the support you have given me and my team throughout the years and particularly during and post pandemic.
There is still much work left to do in order to get Liverpool City Region’s travel and tourism sector back to pre-pandemic levels. Nevertheless, I can happily say, with great confidence, that we are now firmly on the right track and upcoming international events, like The Randox Grand National, Eurovision 2023 and The 151st Open at Royal Liverpool, will help us greatly head towards our shared goals.
Please keep supporting Marketing Liverpool with the same energy and enthusiasm as you have always done. It has been an honour to work with such a dedicated and passionate team of Liverpool City Region ambassadors and I wish you all the very best of luck in the future.
