10 – 11 September 2022. As the world emerges from the shadow of COVID and life returns to normal, WSKA members, their families and supporters can once again look forward to World class Karate competition with this year’s World Shotokan Karate-Do Championships taking place in the fantastic city of Liverpool at the M&S Bank Arena .
This is the second time Liverpool has hosted the Championships and the last one, held here last in 2013, proved to be a great success. This Championship will surely live up to expectations with ‘world class’ competitors travelling from all over the world.
The disciplines of Kata (set forms) and Kumite (fighting) will take place with both Individual and Team events. The Karate Union of Great Britain (KUGB) will be strongly represented at the Championships with International Teams from England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
