What is it?

Looking to expand into international markets? Looking to grow domestic and international sales?

Many businesses are now starting to prepare for the tourism season after lockdown and develop plans for the recovery. In order to help you to get ready to reach out to old and new customers alike, VisitEngland in partnership with regional DMOs would like to invite you to a virtual training programme which will help your business become ready for international visitors and understand the new domestic landscape.

Developed as part of the Government’s £40M Discover England Fund, the Taking England to the World Trade Education Programme is designed to equip you with the skills and foundations to develop and promote your product for sale in international and domestic markets.

Who is it for?

This session is an adaptation of our Taking England to the World programme. As a result, if you have attended Taking England to the World, you might not benefit as much from these sessions. This training programme is aimed at suppliers from all sectors of the English travel industry – from accommodation to attractions, and from excursions to experiences. Whilst particularly suitable for SMEs, larger organisations are also welcome to attend.

  • Defining your product offering
  • The travel distribution system
  • Building powerful relationships
  • Pricing your tourism product
  • Creating engaging content

Virtual programme

Places for this highly sought-after course are limited and by signing up to this training session, you are committing to 6 hours across 3 weeks. We will cover different topics during each session, hence your attendance in all three sessions of this training is requested. You are free to register for any of the sessions below, even if it’s not your destination, as the content will apply to all.

The training is offered free of charge, and lunch and refreshments will be provided. Spaces are limited, and places will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Further dates will be announced soon.

Please note that after you have completed the registration, we will contact you by email to inform whether your registration is approved and then we will send you the link to access the webinar. The link to access the webinar is unique to your profile and is non-transferrable.

As this is an online event, you will receive an invite from Taking England to the World within 72 hours prior to the event, containing the link to each session.

With the invite, you will also find a welcome pack which includes details of the event, joining instructions, and where you can download a copy of our Taking England to the World toolkit.
