Marketing Liverpool, the city region’s destination marketing organisation, have today launched a new Christmas campaign to encourage people to safely enjoy the city again in the run up to Christmas.
Love Your Liverpool Christmas is an update on the successful Love Your Liverpool recovery campaign the organisation ran over the summer as Liverpool emerged from the initial lockdown restrictions.
Now with a festive makeover, Love Your Liverpool Christmas encourages local and regional residents to safely enjoy the city’s restaurants, shops and visitor attractions once more throughout December.
Love Your Liverpool Christmas will inspire local people to put Liverpool at the heart of their Christmas this year by shopping locally, enjoying the city’s vast restaurant offer and safely visiting the many visitor attractions for a festive day out with their households or support bubble.
Chris Brown, Director of Marketing Liverpool said of the new campaign:
“Christmas is usually an extremely busy time for the city as it comes alive with Christmas markets, lights and festive shoppers and visitors.
“Whilst Christmas will certainly look different for us all this year, we still hope that people will feel encouraged to visit our venues and attractions in the run up to Christmas. Love Your Liverpool Christmas aims to encourage people to return to the city safely, following all social distancing guidelines, to enjoy our covid-secure venues. The city is lighting up to spread some much needed festive joy.”
Whilst the city’s normal Christmas offering may have been pared back to accommodate social distancing guidelines there are still plenty of ways you can celebrate Christmas in Liverpool this year.
