What’s Happened in our Love Your Liverpool Campaign This Week?

Our Love Your Liverpool campaign is continuing in its aim to encourage local people to experience Liverpool City Region like a tourist this summer and this week has seen a whole host of new content and features.

Monday saw the launch of the government’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme with many Liverpool restaurants signing up to offer diners 50% off their meals. The scheme is a much needed boost for the restaurants across the city who have struggled during lockdown. To help people decide where to go we put together this handy blog post that features all of the participating venues.

We mentioned last week that we were planning a series of videos with The Guide Liverpool and we’re pleased to say the first one is now live! Join Katie as she explores one of Liverpool’s most beloved streets, Bold Street, and finds out how the street and its venues have adapted post-lockdown.

For those looking to explore some of our world-class visitor attractions this summer, we’ve got a special treat for them. The team have been working alongside some of our partners to create a blog post on VisitLiverpool.com full of the best deals and discounts on entrance tickets. Discounts include 20% off admission for adults to The Beatles Story, 10% off tickets to Knowsley Safari and 10% off entrance to the RLB360 tour… they’re definitely not to be missed! If you would be interested in offering a discount to add to the selection then please get in touch with the team!

This week has also seen the start of our local influencer visits. Local blogger Jack from Scouse Diaries enjoyed a jam packed day out on Friday that was put together by our team and saw him visit venues such as RLB360, The Beatles Story and newly opened Quirky Quarter. Give him a follow to check out what else he got up to!

As part of our partnership with the Liverpool ECHO, this week they published this great piece detailing some of the city’s hidden gems. Featuring some of the city’s lesser known but much-loved places such as Rococo Coffee House, Matta’s supermarket and The Bridewell pub, the list is perfect for those looking to explore some of the city’s more unique and independent venues.

We’re thrilled to see yet more of our friends across the city begin to reopen this week with the British Music Experience, Junkyard Golf Club and The Bluecoat all opening their doors once more.

If you want to get involved with the Love Your Liverpool campaign then there is still plenty of chance to do so. Why not share some of the features mentioned above or head to the campaign hub for more inspiration!
