An Update On Our Love Your Liverpool Campaign

A couple of weeks ago we launched our brand new Love Your Liverpool campaign, inspiring local people to fall in love with Liverpool all over again.

Since the launch, the Marketing Liverpool team have been busy working to keep the campaign moving via social media and visitliverpool.com as well as media coverage and outdoor ads.

We partnered with the Liverpool ECHO to launch a competition with an unrivalled prize including an overnight stay at Hilton Hotel, dinner at The Art School and a personal gin experience at Liverpool Gin Distillery… we wouldn’t have minded winning that ourselves!

Also part of the Love Your Liverpool campaign was this Liverpool Bucket List piece, encouraging local people to explore closer to home this summer.

It’s not just the Liverpool ECHO who have got behind the campaign with Radio City running a series of talk ups and videos featuring presenters Leanne and Scott exploring and discussing their personal favourite tourist spots in the city. There’s also a competition to win £500 currently live with Radio City, to win all people need to do is share what they’ve missed most about Liverpool. You can see more of how Radio City have got behind the campaign here.

We’ve also produced a series of videos with The Guide Liverpool which will explore different areas of the city and are fronted by some of our very own local tourism stars. Make sure you keep your eyes peeled on The Guide and VisitLiverpool social channels for these, we’d love it if you shared them with your networks too!

Also coming up over the next few weeks are a series of influencer visits that our PR team have been busy arranging. The visits will see local influencers explore some of Liverpool’s world-renowned visitor attractions and have the opportunity to experience their home city like a tourist. The visits will allow the influencers to share the campaign and some of our attractions and venues to their audience.

We’ve also welcomed back our friends at venues including The Beatles Story, Strawberry Field and Ghetto Golf with the British Music Experience and The Cavern Pub and Festival Restaurant both set to open their doors again on Saturday 1st August.

There’s still plenty of opportunity to get involved with the campaign, whether it’s sharing our existing assets or creating your own. For inspiration why not head to the resources hub on our website where you’ll find everything from social media graphics to videos and even a social media plan!
