Marketing Liverpool Partners are Good to Go!

We spoke with some of the local businesses who have received ‘We’re Good to Go’ accreditation, VisitEngland’s free industry standard and kitemark to reassure customers.

A free UK-wide industry standard and consumer mark to reassure your customers was announced by VisitEngland. We’re asking you… have you got yours?

To support you as you work towards re-opening and welcoming customers, the ‘We’re Good To Go’ COVID-19 industry standard and consumer mark is now available to provide a ‘ring of confidence’ for businesses, attractions and destinations as well as reassurance to local residents and visitors that clear processes are in place and that as a business you are good to go.

We’ve spoken to three more Marketing Liverpool partners who have received their accreditation this week. Here’s what they had to say…

Stay City

We hope that by signing up to the We’re Good to Go accreditation, along with the measures we have put in place, we will restore consumer confidence.

Alongside extensive cleaning and hygiene protocols, as aparthotels we can offer guests the confidence that comes with having their own kitchen with dishwashers and microwaves so they can cook or reheat food for themselves without having to use public areas, restaurants or lounges. Our properties have the added benefit of modern, newly fitted interiors throughout with hard wood flooring and wipeable surfaces, which are easy to keep clean and sanitised.

Operating under WHO and local authority guidelines the ‘Guest Safeguard Promise’ involves a deep clean to each apartment prior to guest arrival including all touchpoints with loose items such as irons, hairdryers and remote controls marked with a ‘Just Sanitised’ label. Throws and cushions will be removed and rooms will be sealed with a door sticker once they’ve been cleaned. No staff will enter the apartments after cleaning or during the guests’ stay, with anything required by the guest to be left outside the door.

Public areas will be sanitised regularly with an electrostatic disinfection system and markings will be in place to indicate social distancing requirements. Protective screens have been erected at reception and disinfectant spray, disposable roll and hand sanitisers will be freely available. Breakfast buffets will be replaced by takeaway food and drink and seating areas will be closed off. Gyms will also remain shut.

Guests will be encouraged to contact staff via email or phone, use card payments instead of cash and make use of the express checkout key box at the end of their stay. The front of house teams will receive on-going safety training, will be temperature checked at the beginning of their shifts, and will observe strict social distancing, hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette. Each property team has an appointed ‘Hygiene Champion’ to ensure rigorous implementation of all measures and checks.

Campanile

Achieving the VisitEngland We’re Good To Go status was a key objective for Campanile Hotels coming out of lockdown. It provides a ‘ring of confidence’ for our guests and is evidence that we can demonstrate that we are adhering to the latest Government and public health guidance with regards to COVID-19.

Another positive is that our hotels will benefit from the ongoing alert system, which will allow us to adapt our operations as and when future changes in national guidance are released.

Putting the guest’s safety first is an important part of getting the industry back up and running in what has been the single most challenging time I’ve ever encountered. We hope to see an increase in the adoption of the standard amongst other key tourism businesses in the coming weeks. I believe we all have to take a collective responsibility and work together to make sure that British tourism bounces back.

Only Fools Bar

The Only Fools bar on Seel Street has reopened its doors to Only Fools and Horses fans of all ages, tourists, locals, and everyone interested in having a good time.

Our team is passionate about making everyone’s visit memorable and unique and of course, safe. Therefore, we have signed up our business for the Covid-19 Industry Standard and are now officially classed as “We’re Good to Go”. Our management team has worked tirelessly to incorporate all new and improved health and safety measures, ensuring the wellbeing of customers and staff alike. In this unprecedented situation, we appreciate the guidance offered by the official industry standard and the quality checkmark it gives us. We appreciate the increased focus on personal health and we want to give customers and staff a feeling of safety when entering the Only Fools bar. We have installed several sanitising stations around the venue and now partake in more frequent and extensive cleaning.

For the near future the Only Fools bar has adapted by limiting opening hours to Thursday until Sunday, working with table service only and finding alternative ways to incorporate fun events for our guests. We look positively towards the future, knowing that we can rely on an excellent team and loyal customers, as well as on the support of a city like no other.
