As the Coronavirus outbreak continues to change our lives in ways we thought unimaginable, we’ve been overwhelmed by the many good news stories to come out of Liverpool City Region.
To help shine a light on these good news stories, we’ll be speaking to the people behind them. This week we caught up with Liverpool Chef Dave Critchley, to discuss the launching of a new food service called Liverpool Independent Delivery Services (LIDS), created in response to the Coronavirus crisis.
Dave, normally to be found leading his kitchen brigade at the Lu Ban Restaurant, located within the Baltic Triangle, took time out to discuss the project.
So Dave, what’s LIDS all about?
LIDS is a collective of the best local independent suppliers around who have joined together to create a great delivered service direct to your doorstep.
Which partners do you have on-board?
We’ve already some amazing partners signed up, including…
Liverpool Produce & Catering Supplies
…these are just a few and there are more joining us every week!
How can people access the service?
We’ve set up a website, thelids.co.uk, which is ready and available to order from right now!
We cover all of Liverpool and most of the surrounding areas too! As we grow our radius is expanding too, so please do keep an eye out on our website.
So what’s next?
We hope to have a few more suppliers on the books and be able to take on some more drivers soon, so we can reach more people in need of our services!
The project is already extremely busy and we have enlisted the help of Alpha Taxis to assist us with our deliveries too.
Check out thelids.co.uk for more information.
