This week members of the ML team will be overseas at two important travel trade events.
Firstly, we’ll be working in India at VisitBritain’s first sales mission to the country in a number of years.
The mission provides the perfect platform to showcase product from our partners, with one-one meetings with up to 200 hand-picked tour operators and travel agents from across the key source cities of Mumbai and New Delhi.
In 2019 there were record numbers of Indian Visitors to the UK due to the successful ICC Cricket World Cup. Which has sparked a strong demand from the India trade to feature new British product in their programmes.
We’ll also be at Valkantiebeurs in Utrecht, one of the biggest travel events in the Netherlands. Here we will be promoting the new North of England City Experience to Dutch travel trade and consumers in partnership with operator House of Britain.
This new product enables visitors and groups to soak up the heritage, history, regeneration and transformation of five great cities in the North of England: Liverpool, Hull, Leeds, Manchester & NewcastleGateshead.
The package is linked up through a Transpennine Express rail ticket that enables four days travel between the cities over an eight day period.
The project forms part of the Discover England Fund (DEF) and is led by Marketing Liverpool. The new product is also being marketed in Germany and the Nordics with other delivery partners.
