Recent Press Visits

The past few weeks have seen various international media outlets visit on press visits arranged by Marketing Liverpool.

Last week we hosted Ralph Bloemer, a journalist from Cologne in Germany. Ralph is putting together a major feature on Liverpool for a leading LGBT magazine in Germany, Schwullisimo. During his trip Ralph paid a visit to major city attractions including The Beatles Story and the Museum of Liverpool. He also saw the sights on the Magical Mystery Tour, did some vintage shopping at Red Brick Vintage and took in the views at the brand new Royal Liver 360 Building tour. In the evenings he spent a night at Hot Water Comedy Club as well as sampling some of Liverpool’s finest craft beer.

Ralph’s feature will highlight Liverpool as a perfect city break destination and whilst here he got the chance to interview people including our UNESCO Head of Music Kevin McManus and Marketing Liverpool’s very own Stefan Price.

We are currently hosting another top German journalist who is here on a commission for Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, one of the country’s most prominent newspapers. Sven will be writing an extensive feature on Hard Days Night Hotel, and a separate article about visiting the city for football.

This weekend there was a fantastic article about Southport in the Sunday Times, following a visit hosted by our friends at Visit Southport. The writer stayed at The Vincent and visited some of the town’s highlights including The Atkinson, Southport Pier and Auberge. To read the full article please click here.

Next week will also see visits from 2 leading influencers to the city. Milviages is one of the most popular Spanish travel blogs and its writer, Jordi, will be in town with his family to see why Liverpool is an ideal UK destination for families. Meanwhile, UK lifestyle blogger Copper Garden will be taking a trip up north to explore Liverpool’s music, art and food scene.

Marketing Liverpool continues to work with media outlets around the world in order to promote the city region to national and international audiences.
