Marketing Liverpool is working with Marketing Cheshire, Blackpool, Warrington and key city partners on an exciting new campaign that targets millennials across Spain and Portugal.
This links in to the Discover England Fund (DEF) and is being led by tourism colleagues at Marketing Cheshire.
The campaign uses social media, PR, video and bloggers to help profile and develop the short breaks market using Liverpool John Lennon Airport as the gateway into the region.
Last week we welcomed Spanish blogger Rebeca Stones into the city who sampled some of our attractions, nightlife and venues including Dale Street Kitchen, Ghetto Golf, Baltic Market, LEAF on Bold Street, Mowgli, Hard Days Night Hotel and the rooftop of Liverpool Central Library.
Rebecca stayed for three nights at Hard Days Night Hotel and used Liverpool as the base to explore the partner destinations.
The accompanying promotional film for the campaign was shot across the region last week and in Liverpool the locations included Eat Sleep Love, Ex Directory, XOXO Nightclub, Ghetto Golf, Baltic Market, Jacaranda, Graffiti and 24 Kitchen Street.
The project was also showcased at the massive Fitur exhibition in Madrid where a renowned street artist created visual representations of the city.
A campaign website will be launched soon, so stay tuned for details!
