It’s that time of year again… Christmas ads are back on the tele!
To mark the occasion of CONSTANT Christmas songs playing during the ad breaks of I’m a Celeb, we asked the Marketing Liverpool team to vote on their favourite ads in a number of categories.
Before we get to the results, here’s a very merry Marketing Liverpool Christmas story…
Jess and Stefan are causing uproar with their dissatisfaction with John Lewis’ 2018 effort while Lucy can’t believe her ears as a life long Elton fan! Suzanne the M&S brand advocate is slowly morphing into Holly Willoughby and Carrie queued up for Kevin and Katie the carrot for a solid 4 hours.
James has taken the plunge and got his first Christmas tree, it’s wonderfully symmetrical don’t you know! Meanwhile Sam, aka Scrooge, is adamant that there’s no place for Christmas songs until at least December 23rd.
Elsewhere our very own Santa Claus, Chris A, has gifted his elves their very own coffee machine for their new grotto. Kate and Jen have their personalised stockings hanging ready and the Rachel’s are carrying cardboard boxes harmonising the words ‘Can you feel it?‘
Malik has his home made Christmas cards at the ready, will you be on his list this year? Meanwhile, Peter is busy rehearsing for his starring role in this years office nativity. No autographs please. While everyone is drinking mulled wine, baby-bump SJ is holding her empty glass as it slowly fills with tears.
John is keeping himself busy by counting all of our chocolate coins. Speaking of chocolate coins, Jane’s just added a new Range Rover to this year’s Christmas list and Chris Brown’s added some tartan tinsel to his pinstripe suit!
Joe’s jetting off to Bulgaria, a British Christmas is far too mainstream for our resident millennial. Sophie’s got tickets for an alternative Christmas music gig located in the store cupboard at the Cunard – the city’s latest underground venue.
Emma is already 3 sherries down and it’s not even Christmas Eve, we’ll blame that on Chris’s constant carol singing. Ian Slater has just finished the first round of amends to his Christmas Tree design – just 100 more edits to go!
Ian Hughes has already packed up and left to drink Babycham every day right up until the New Year and Roz is at home dressing up her new baby in the cutest Christmas outfits ever.
Finally, if we hear David screaming PARTNERSHIP to the tune of Hark the Herald one more time – we may just have to send him up to Floor 5 of the Cunard!
SO, THE RESULTS…
