Christmas has officially arrived in Liverpool with ONE big street party taking over Liverpool ONE last Friday.
The weekend saw our first press visit of the Christmas in Liverpool campaign when we welcomed a journalist from the Express and Star publications. Whilst here he took in some of the major Christmas attractions including the Christmas markets on St George’s Plateau, Liverpool Christmas Ice Festival and Bar Hutte underneath the Liverpool ONE Christmas tree. Following his visit he was keen to express how hospitable Liverpool is as a city so make sure you keep your eyes peeled for his upcoming coverage.
Also over ‘launch weekend’ Marketing Liverpool worked together with Johnston Press, who look after regional titles including Lancashire Post, Wigan Today and Blackpool Gazette on takeovers across their website homepages. This allowed the Christmas in Liverpool message to reach an even wider audience and the takeovers produced some of the best results the publications have ever seen, but that’s hardly a surprise as we all know how great Liverpool is at Christmas!
This weekend we will welcome even more press to showcase our wonderful city in all its festive glory because this Christmas, it has to be Liverpool.
