Marketing Liverpool hosted an Indian media visit last week.
Working with VisitBritain’s Indian office and Reliance Jio, the largest mobile network in India, we arranged a packed itinerary to showcase different elements of the city region’s tourism offer which are particularly popular in the Indian market, including Port Sunlight Village and Lady Lever Art Gallery, the Royal Albert Dock, The Beatles Story (and its Indian exhibition), and the Magical Mystery Tour.
The anchor for the video was Tridha Choudhary, an Indian TV and regional film actress. As well as posting snapshots of her trip to her Facebook page (1.9 million followers) and Instagram (382,000 followers), all of the content created will be used for distribution across Reliance Jio Cinema/TV channels and VisitBritain’s digital platforms.
We also used the visit to talk with VisitBritain’s Indian office about wider opportunities to bring Indian visitors to the city region, notably around next year’s Cricket World Cup which will be held in England and Wales.
