Last week Marketing Liverpool played host to three social media influencers from across the pond, Boston and New York to be exact. As they were visiting on the weekend that Harry and Meghan tied the knot we put together an itinerary that gave them a taste of an ‘alternative royal wedding.’
First up it was a visit to see a different kind of royal couple. Double Fantasy- John and Yoko – at the Museum of Liverpool, telling the story of John and Yoko in their own words, was the perfect place to kick their visit off. Once they’d finished browsing the inspiring exhibition they took the time to explore the wider museum to gain an insight into life in Liverpool.
Next up they got the chance to experience Liverpool ONE and the Bluecoat – because after all, every wedding needs a new outfit and the perfect unique gift, right? We then headed for afternoon tea with a twist at the Baltic Social where their ‘punk’ version went down a treat. After that a trip to the cathedral was on the cards and a chance to take in the views of the city region and beyond at the top of the tower.
The organised visit was a great way to show off Liverpool in a week that all eyes were on the UK. Whilst they were here the trio were thrilled with how ‘spacious and airy’ the city centre was and featured many of Liverpool’s most famous sights across their social media (and who can blame them when they look this good?!)
