Liverpool has yet again been featured in a major publication as a top place to visit this year (and beyond!).
Following a visit hosted by Marketing Liverpool, leading US magazine Travel and Leisure featured Liverpool in their Europe-focused May edition.
The piece, titled ‘A New Look for Liverpool’ explored how the city has changed over the past 10 years and gave 6 spots that should be added to any Liverpool itinerary.
Exploring some of Liverpool’s finest culinary gems, the article highlighted Baltic Market (‘the centrepiece of Liveprool’s resurgent Baltic Triangle’) and Wreckfish (‘the hottest spot in town’) as two must-visit places for foodies. For a post-dinner tipple, the ‘exquisite’ Berry and Rye got the nod for its extensive and expert cocktail list.
Walker Art Gallery was praised for its vast collection that includes a mix of Renaissance pieces alongside contemporary names such as the Liverpool-born Singh Twins, while those looking for a place to stay were pointed to the Georgian Quarter’s luxurious 2 Blackburne Terrace.
Staying in the Georgian Quarter, the piece ended by praising The Art School’s ‘lavish, locally sourced tasting menu’. And who could disagree with them on that?
